Three-channel experimental film.
16 mm film, digital.
Loosely inspired by T. S. Eliot's The Wasteland, this film similarly seeks to mine the aimlessness of the current moment through multiple character perspectives and a blending of styles.
We fragment images using visual techniques like slow shutter photography and projection feedback loops. These are spread across multiple channels to encourage the audience to participate in the deconstruction.
Shot in May and June of 2020, we focus in particular on the experience of those who've recently come of age to find the world in an extreme state of flux. Listlessness, disorientation, freefall, and finally action are at the heart of this film.
